It starts with you!
We rely on individual donations made by consumers to ensure that every fabric with potential is appropriately thrifted, recycled, upcycled, donated, or reclaimed.
EcoDhaga strives to be a closed-loop fashion brand that starts with waste and ensures that none ends up in the landfill.
What We Do
How We Do It
Our Social Commitments
As a social enterprise, we are very mindful of our community and our impact. So far we have collected and redirected 1200 kgs of textile waste in Bangalore and we are just getting started! That’s the weight of an adult blue whale. Overall, this has saved 30,000 kgs of COâ‚‚ emissions in 2021. None of the donations we have collected has been trashed.
The Kapda Project
Approximately 30% of the clothes we receive are in wearable condition but are not particularly sellable, which means they have not passed the QC for our thrift store. We donate these clothes with dignity to people from vulnerable communities.
We collaborate with NGOs that work closely with communities from disaster-affected areas and low-income households such as orphanages, old age homes, and homes for the differently-abled.
No Thread to Waste Initiative
We try to direct unwearable clothes that are excessively stained or torn, away from landfills as well. We are exploring fibre reclamation with a few circular brands and local governmental bodies that recycle textile waste for product making, paper production, construction, etc. We are leaving no stone unturned in our effort to redirect textile waste away from landfills.
If you have a creative or innovative solution for recycling post-consumption textile waste in India and would like to join hands in our effort, please reach out to our team.
